Poems - Smriti Choudhary

Smriti Choudhary

(When I see myself as a writer, I always thank my sister who saw a writer in me and encouraged me to write. I have always respected words and I hope that a pen always remains my best friend in the future helping me to get the most out of myself!)

I> She said-

1.
"No"
She said to herself
And to everything else-
Everything else which pulled her down,
Down in ruins,
Ruins of her own magic,
Magic which was lost
Lost between the waterfalls and thunderstorms
Thunderstorms raging inside her.

2.
"Yes"
She said to herself
And to everything else-
Everything else which found her.
Found her beneath the debris
Debris of her magic turned to dust
Dust which choked,
Choked her to death.
Death which she fought
Fought till she lived.

II>Who are you?

A snow caped mountain
Or a rough terrain?
sunlit mornings Or torn wings?
A blooming flower
Or emotions sour?
A fairy tale
Or a painful wail?
A carefree butterfly
Or a dark, night sky?

Who are you?

A star, or a scar?
